WHILE ON HIS THIRD SUPERVISED SOLO, THE STUDENT PILOT TOUCHED DOWN SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. THE NOSE GEAR ENTERED A SMALL DITCH AND SHEARED OFF. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST INVERTED.

On July 22, 1994, at approximately 2015 central daylight time, a Cessna 150M, N704EH, was substantially damaged during landing at Gundy's airport near Owasso, Oklahoma. The solo student pilot was not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the 14 CFR 91 flight. The pilot reported that during his third supervised solo he touched down short of the runway. During the landing roll the nose gear entered a small ditch just prior to the runway and broke off. Following the loss of the nose gear the airplane nosed over to the inverted position. The airplane sustained structural damage to the empennage. The aircraft was released to the owner.
