THE STUDENT PILOT REPORTED THAT DURING THE LANDING ROLL, THERE WAS A GUST OF WIND FROM THE LEFT. THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND THE AIRPLANE NOSED OVER.

On July 13, 1994, at 1215 Pacific daylight time, a Cessna 140, N77045, nosed over during the landing roll at the Crest Airpark, Kent, Washington, during a local solo instructional flight. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed. The airplane was substantially damaged and the student pilot was not injured. The pilot reported that during the landing roll on runway 33, there was a gust of wind from the left. The pilot was unable to maintain directional control and the airplane nosed over.
