Aviation safety reports, made easier to study

NTSB Reports is an independent research and search tool for public aviation accident and incident records. It brings NTSB aviation reports, structured fields, docket files, extracted figures, photos, videos, and update history into one searchable interface.

The goal is practical safety education: make it faster to find relevant investigations, compare similar events, review factual records, and understand the evidence behind probable-cause and preliminary reports.

The investigative work and source records belong to the National Transportation Safety Board and the published investigation record. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NTSB.

Full Narrative

On May 4, 1995, at 1900 central daylight time, a Cessna 180, N180JV, was substantially damaged during taxi at Adams Field Airport (LIT), Little Rock, Arkansas. The commercial pilot was not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the business flight. According to the Pilot/Operator Report, the landing to runway 04L was normal, and due to an aircraft sequenced "tightly" behind, the pilot attempted to clear the runway at the first available taxiway to the left. The pilot cleared the runway "at a speed high enough that a ground loop occurred." Examination of the airplane by the FAA inspector revealed the right wing and elevator were damaged.
