DURING A DAYLIGHT TAKEOFF THE ENGINE LOST TOTAL POWER AT 150 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL. THE PILOT SELECTED A NEARBY ROAD FOR HIS LANDING, HOWEVER, HE WAS UNABLE TO REACH IT AND HE HAD TO LAND IN UNSUITABLE TERRAIN, AN ARROYO.
