WHILE FLYING A PIPELING PATROL FLT 1,000 FEET AGL IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN, THE PLT ENCOUNTERED A DOWNDRAFT WINDSHEAR WHICH RESULTED IN AN UNCONTROLLABLE 2,000 FPM ACFT DESCENT FROM WHICH THE PLT WAS NOT ABLE TO RECOVER.
