THE PLT REPORTED A TOTAL LOSS OF PWR OCCURRED WHILE MANEUVERING OVER AN AREA TO OBSERVE THE TERRAIN. A FORCED LANDING WAS MADE ON A GRAVEL BAR DURING WHICH THE ACFT NOSED OVER.
