NTSB Reports is an independent research and search tool for public aviation accident and incident records. It brings NTSB aviation reports, structured fields, docket files, extracted figures, photos, videos, and update history into one searchable interface.
The goal is practical safety education: make it faster to find relevant investigations, compare similar events, review factual records, and understand the evidence behind probable-cause and preliminary reports.
The investigative work and source records belong to the National Transportation Safety Board and the published investigation record. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NTSB.

THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH A DRAINAGE DITCH AND COLLAPSED THE NOSE GEAR DURING LANDING. THE PILOT STATED THE LANDING WAS NORMAL BUT DURING ROLLOUT HE ELECTED TO RETRACT THE FLAPS, TURN OFF THE CARBUERTOR HEAT AND OPEN THE COWL FLAPS. AT THISTIME THE ACFT VEERED LEFT AND THE PILOT SAID IN SPITE OF USE OF RUDDER AND/OR BRAKES HE WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL. THERE WERE NO REPORTED WITNESSES TO THE ACCIDENT. UPON EXAMINATION OF BRAKES AND FLT CONTROLS NO MALFUNCTIONS WERE FOUNDAND THE PLT DID NOT REPORT ANY MALFUNCTIONS. THE LOCAL SHERIFF REPORTED TIRE SCUFF MARKS AT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE SCUFF MARK PATTERN INDICATED THAT THE ACFT WAS DRIFTING TO THE LEFT AT TOUCHDOWN. THE ACFT TRAVELED 344 FT AFTER LEAVING THE RWY BEFORE HITTING THE DITCH AND STOPPING. THE WINDS WERE REPORTEDAS CALM.
