THE NEAREST WEATHER REPORTING FACILITY RECORDED LOW CLOUD CEILINGS AND FOG AT THE APPROXIMATE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED NO EVIDENCE OF MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION OR FAILURE PRIOR TO IMPACT.
