DURING FLIGHT, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A POWERLINE ABOUT 70 FT ABOVE THE RED RIVER. THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED IN THE RIVER AND DRIFTED ABOUT 2 MILES BEFORE IT WAS RECOVERED.
