On January 19, 2010, a Lion Mentari Airline Boeing 737-900, registration PK-LFM, experienced a runway excursion during landing at Minangkabau Airport, Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia. The airplane was substantially damaged but there were no injuries to the 8 crew members or 201 passengers onboard. The investigation is being conducted by the National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia. The NTSB has assigned an Accredited Representative to assist the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the Country of Manufacture and Design of the airplane.
