On April 26, 2012, about 1845 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), an Embraer 712, Brazilian registration PT-NUH, operated by the Aeroclube de Itanhaem, crashed under unknown circumstances in a dense forest area in Morro do Manduba Guaruja Municipality, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The flight instructor and student pilot were fatally injured, and the airplane was destroyed. The flight originated from Soracaba, San Paulo, Brazil, earlier that day. The local authorities located the wreckage after being notified that the pilots failed to radio in their required position report to the air traffic controller.
