The Austrian Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authority (CASIA) has notified the NTSB of an accident involving a BOEING 757 airplane that occurred on July 28, 2012. The CASIA delegated the investigation to the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU). The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the BFU investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane. All investigative information will be released by the BFU.
