On February 12, 2013, at 0930 universal coordinated time, a MD Helicopter 600N, S2-AFZ, experienced a loss of engine power during cruise flight. The pilot initiated an autorotation to a muddy rice paddy near Dhaka, Bangladesh. The helicopter was operated by Meghna Aviation Ltd under the pertinent civil regulations of Bangladesh. The helicopter was substantially damaged and the two pilots and four passengers received minor injuries. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Bangladesh.
