On April 13, 2013, about 1854 coordinated universal time, a Piper PA-23-250, N27FT, was destroyed when it impacted a residence shortly after departing from Ogle International Airport (SYGO), Georgetown, Guyana. The certificated airline transport pilot and one passenger were fatally injured. The local aerial observation flight was conducted under Guyanese flight regulations. This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
