On May 19, 2013, at 1015 Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), a Pitts S-2B, Turkish registration TC-AYT, operated by a private owner, was destroyed following a collision with terrain during aerobatic flight near Adana, Turkey. The pilot was fatally injured. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Turkey.
