On October 17, 2012, at 1703 local time, a Korean registered Mooney M20J airplane, HL1062, had a loss of engine power, and an off airport landing about 7 miles northwest of the Wonju Airport, Republic of Korea. The airplane was operated by Korea Aerospace University, and the three occupants, all Korean nationals, were not injured. This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board, Republic of Korea.
