On August 30, 2013, at 1555 coordinated universal time (1255 local time), a Bell 206B, Brazilian registration PT-HUE, was substantially damaged following a loss of engine power and a subsequent forced landing in Matões do Norte, Maranhão, Brazil. The pilot and the passenger were not injured. The local flight, which originated at Flamboyant Heliport (SJHR), Maranhão, Brazil, about 35 minutes earlier, was being conducted under Brazilian flight regulations. The investigation is under the direction of the government of Brazil.
