On January 5, 2014, about 1900 universal coordinated time, a Piper PA-32RT-300T, Venezuelan registration YV2070, operated by a private individual, made an emergency landing on a road due a total loss of engine power. The pilot was not injured. The flight originated from Aeropuerto Internacional Del Caribe, Margarita, Edo Nueva Esparta (SVMG) and was operating under Venezuelan flight regulations. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Venezuela.
