On January 6, 2014, about 1508 local time, a Gippsland GA-8 Airvan, single engine airplane, F-ORPH, was destroyed during a forced landing following a total loss of engine power at Cayenne – Félix Eboué Airport (SOCA), Cayenne, French Guiana. The pilot sustained minor injuries and the passenger was seriously injured. The incident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the government of France.
