On July 22, 2013, at 0610 UTC, a Cessna 525B Citation CJ3, French registration F-HCIC, experienced smoke in the cabin and cockpit while passing FL 140 during an enroute climb southeast of Paris, France. The number one engine was shut down, the crew declared an emergency, and the airplane landed uneventfully. The captain and first officer were not injured. The airplane sustained minor damage. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The airplane departed Paris Le Bourget Airport (LFPB), and was en route to Lannion Airport (LFRO), Servel, Brittany, France. This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the French government.
