On April 20, 2014, at 1240 UTC, a Comp Air 8, Finnish registration OH-XDZ, was destroyed when it departed controlled flight and subsequently impacted in a forest near Jamijarvi Airfield (EFJM), Jamijarvi, Finland. A post-impact fire ensued. Eight of the 10 passengers on board the airplane were fatally injured. The pilot and two passengers received minor injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local skydiving flight which departed EFJM at an earlier time. This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Finnish government.
