On May 12, 2014, at 0115 coordinated universal time, a Japanese registered Extra 300L airplane, JA111L, operated by a private individual, experienced a loss of engine power followed by a forced landing near Fukushima City, Japan. The pilot and one passenger sustained minor injuries. The airplane sustained damage to the left wing. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Japan.
