On September 22, 2014, about 1530 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Diamond, DA20, Italian registration OE-ADH, was substantially damaged when it impacted the ground shortly after takeoff from Aeroporto di Marina di Campo (LIRJ), Marina di Campo, Italy. The Italian flight instructor and student pilot were fatally injured. The flight, which was conducted under Italian flight regulations, was destined for Aeroporto di Roma-Urbe (LIRU), Rome, Italy.
