On September 25, 2014, about 1430 UTC, a Bell 206L-3 helicopter (s/n 51342), TG-LOU, impacted terrain during agricultural crop spraying operations near Municipio Santa Barbará, departamento de Suchitepéquez, Guatemala. The helicopter was substantially damaged; and the sole occupant was fatally injured. This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil of Guatemala. Under the provisions of Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation as a State of Design, the United States has designated an accredited representative to participate in the investigation.
