On February 15, 2015, at 1020 local time, a Bell 206 L4, P2-HFZ, experienced a loss of engine power while maneuvering with an external load and subsequently landed hard near Wabo, Papua New Guinea. The helicopter was operated by Helifax Operations Limited under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Papua New Guinea. The pilot, the sole occupant, received minor injuries and the helicopter was substantially damaged. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Papua New Guinea.
