On December 6, 2015, at 1415 universal coordinated time, a Sikorsky S92 helicopter, Irish registration EI-ICG, was involved in an off shore rescue operation. Two victims were being recovered when one of the victims slipped from the recue harness, fell back into the water, and was subsequently recovered. The flight originated from the Waterford Airport (EIWF), Waterford, Ireland. The investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Irish government.
