Aviatornyi, RU
On February 2, 2016, about 0730 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), a Robinson R66, RA-06239, registered to Southeast Agricultural Group, LLC, collided with terrain near Aviatornyi Township, Kirsanov District, Tambov Region, Russia. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and flight plan information is unknown for the non-U.S., non-commercial flight from Kirsanov Air Base Airport, Kirsanov, Russia. The helicopter was destroyed and the commercial pilot and one passenger sustained serious injuries. The flight originated about 3 minutes earlier. After takeoff the flight proceeded east-southeast of the departure airport and the helicopter was allowed to descend to a height of between 2 and 3 meters. While accelerating in ground effect over snow covered featureless terrain, the skids contacted the ground and the helicopter nosed over.
