On February 27, 2016, approximately 0610 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Zlin Z242L, Hong Kong registration B-LUR, was substantially damaged when it impacted the water under unknown circumstances near the Tolo Harbour, Tai Po, Hong Kong. The pilot, the sole occupant, was fatally injured. The flight was operated by the Hong Kong Aviation Club Ltd, and had departed Shek Kong Airfield (VHSK), Shek Kong, New Territories, Hong Kong, at an unknown time. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Hong Kong.
