On April 28, 2016, about 1330 coordinated universal time, a Sikorsky S76A, Brazilian registration PR-EMR, was substantially damaged during an emergency landing after a fire indication and precautionary engine shutdown on the right engine followed shortly by a loss of engine power in the left engine, near Campos dos Goytacazes Municipality, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The pilot, copilot, and nine passengers were not injured. The flight departed from Benedito Lacerda Airport (SBME), Macae, Brazil and was enroute to an off-shore oil platform. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Brazil.
