On June 1, 2016, at 2100 local time, a Vans RV4, Netherlands registration PH-EIL, was destroyed when it collided with the terrain in Coex, France. The pilot was fatally injured and the passenger received serious injuries. At the time of this report, it is unknown where the airplane departed or its intended destination. This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the French government.
