On August 26, 2016, about 1250 coordinated universal time, a Piper PA-25-260, Colombian registration HK588, operated by Fumigaciones Aereas Del Norte S.A.S., was destroyed when it collided with an electrical wire and terrain near Finca, Colombia. The Colombian certificated pilot was fatally injured. The aerial application flight was conducted under Colombian flight regulations. The flight originated from Santa Ana Airport (SKGO), Cartago, Colombia, about 1213. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Colombia.
