On September 6, 2016, about 1540 local time, a Piper PA-34-200T multi-engine airplane, serial number 34-8070170, German registry D-GLLW, was destroyed after impacting terrain while on an ILS approach to Runway 34 at Alexander the Great Airport (LWSK), Skopje, Macedonia. The six persons on-board were fatally injured. The airplane had departed from Treviso Airport (LIPH), Milan, Italy, and was destined for LWSK. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the government of the Republic of Macedonia.
