On May 19, 2016, about 2015 coordinated universal time, an experimental, amateur-built Vans RV-7, Argentine registration LV-X566, operated by a private individual, was destroyed when it impacted terrain during aerobatic maneuvers near Cordoba, Argentina. The Argentine pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The personal flight was conducted under Argentine flight regulations.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Argentina.
