On September 19, 2016, at 2000 coordinated universal time (1600 local), a Piper designed Embraer EMB810-D, Brazilian registration PT-VKY, was destroyed when it impacted terrain in the Miranda Municipality, State of Mato Grosso Do Sul, Brazil. The pilot was fatally injured. The flight originated at the Fazenda Cristo airport (SILU) in Miranda, Brazil, was destined for the Campo Grande airport (SBCG), Campo Grande, Brazil, and was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations.This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Aeronautical Accident Prevention and Investigation Center (CENIPA) of Brazil.
