On October 17, 2016, about 2200 coordinated universal time, an AeroFab, Inc. Lake-250, N724ST, was substantially damaged when it impacted the ocean while on approach to Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP), Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of the Dominican Republic.
