On February 10, 2017, about 1850 hours universal coordinated time, a Cessna model TU206G single-engine airplane, serial number U20605373, Mexican registration XA-UIL, crashed shortly after takeoff from Alizal Airport (MX-0092), located near Tamazula, Durango, Mexico. The pilot and 2 passengers were fatally injured. The remaining 2 passengers sustained serious injuries. The flight was destined for Culiacán International Airport (MMCL), near Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC).
