On April 14, 2017, about 2045 coordinated universal time, a privately owned and operated Cessna 172N, Brazilian registration PR-LPW, was substantially damaged after it struck a tree about 400 meters from the threshold of runway 13 at the Aeroporto de Cassilndia, Moto Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Brazil.
