On July 19, 2017, about 0903 coordinated universal time, a Piper J3C-65 airplane, Finnish registration OH-PAD, was destroyed when it collided with the trees and terrain near Laukaa, Finland. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane departed a private airstrip near Laukaa, Finland, about 0855, and was returning to that same airstrip when it collided with trees and terrain.
