On September 20, 2017, about 2036 eastern daylight time, a Cessna 150J single-engine airplane, Canadian registration C-FHPU, serial number 15070602, crashed in Lake Huron about 1.1 nautical miles west of Goderich Municipal Airport (CYGD), Goderich, Ontario, Canada. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was registered to and operated by the pilot. The cross-country flight departed from Brampton-Caledon Airport (CNC3), Caledon, Ontario, destined for CYGD.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Canadian government.
