On December 15, 2017, about 0930 Coordinated Universal time, a Textron/Beech Model 58 Baron twin engine airplane, SU-BLD, was substantially damaged when it impacted desert terrain about 18 kilometers north of Qaroun Lake, Egypt. The training pilot and the two trainees onboard received fatal injuries. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Egypt.
