On March 1, 2018, a Tez Jet Airline Avro RJ85, powered by four Honeywell (formally Lycoming) LF507-1F turbofan engines experienced an uncontained No. 1 (left most) engine turbine failure during climb. The airplane returned to the Bishkek-Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgzstan where an uneventful three engine landing was made. The investigation is being conducted by the Kyrgzstan Ministry of Transport and Communications, Department of Air Transport and Air Space Use. The NTSB is participating under ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacture for the engine.
