On April 3, 2018, at 0612 coordinated universal time, a Beechcraft 58 Baron airplane, registration ZS-JYD, sustained minor damage after the nose gear collapsed during landing at East London (FAEL), Eastern Cape, South Africa. The pilot, sole occupant, was not injured.The Civil Aviation Authority of South Africa, Accident & Incident Investigation Division (AIID) is investigating the incident. As the state of manufacture of the airplane, the NTSB has designated a US accredited representative to assist the AIID in its investigation.
