On October 1, 2018, at an undetermined time, a Robinson R-44-II helicopter, RA-05758, impacted water and sank prior to colliding with a power transmission line near Bodaybo, Russia. The pilot and passenger sustained fatal injuries. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) of Russia is investigating the accident. As the State of Manufacture of the airplane and engine, the NTSB has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the IAC in its investigation.
