On October 1, 2018, about 2110 universal coordinated time (UTC), a Cessna 210, US registration N8388Z, impacted terrain under unknown circumstances near Sonora, Mexico. Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB has assigned an accredited representative and Cessna Aircraft will assist the Costa Rica aviation safety authorities as technical advisor. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Dirección General de Aviación Civil (DGAC), Mexico.
