On October 4, 2018, about 0815 coordinated universal time, an Air Tractor AT-401B airplane, 5N-BTV, executed a forced landing following a loss of engine power near Rukubi, Nigeria. The pilot sustained minor injuries and the airplane was substantially damaged. The airplane was operated under the pertinent civil regulations for the government of Nigeria. The Nigerian Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) is investigating the incident. As the state of manufacture of the airplane, the NTSB has designated a US accredited representative to assist the AIB in its investigation.
