On December 30, 2018, about 0230 universal time, an Agusta A119 helicopter, RA-01908, impacted terrain under unknown circumstances about 12 miles from Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, Russia. The pilot and three passenger sustained fatal injuries. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) of Russia is investigating the accident. As the state of manufacture for some of the helicopter avionics, the NTSB has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the IAC in its investigation.
