The pilot of the airplane reported that, during the landing flare, he experienced a left quartering crosswind which lifted the left wing and pushed the airplane to the right. The counteracted with aileron input, however, pilot banked the airplane left to return to the runway centerline. Subsequently, the left wing impacted the runway surface, which resulted in resulting in substantial damage to the left wing spar. After the wing impacted the runway surface, tThe pilot initiated and completed a go-around and landed uneventfully. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation. At the time of the accident, the pilot was landing on runway 1, with the wind from 300° at 13 knots.
