On April 22, 2025, about 13:25 central daylight time a Cessna T210N, N4795C was involved in an accident near Fayetteville, Arkansas. The pilot and two passengers were not injured. The flight was operated under the provisions of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as a personal flight. According to the pilot, he departed Drake Field Airport (FYV) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. About 14 nm away from the airport, the alternator light came on and smoke started to come out from under the instrument panel. The pilot diverted back to FYV. About 5 nm from FVY, oil started to spray onto the windshield and fire was coming out from underneath the cowling. The engine seized, and the propeller stopped. The pilot glided the airplane back to FVY and landed; however, the landing gear collapsed upon runway contact, and the airplane slid off the runway. The fuselage and horizontal stabilizer were substantially damaged. The airplane was retained for further examination.
